Purpose
To understand the Search Jira feature of Sinergify, as well as how to view, link/unlink Jira issues via Search Jira. For reference, we will be using the Case object to understand the functionality and features.
Prerequisites
Please make sure you have the Search Jira Button and Jira Related List page configured as we will be using them in the following steps while Searching a Jira from the related list. Refer to the provided documents for guidance on configuring the Search Jira button.
Two Ways to Search Jira

Search Jira via Global Search
In the Global Search feature, you can search for Jira issues globally, removing the necessity to access the Search Jira from the Salesforce record or related tab individually. Furthermore, you can also view the details of the Jira issues. This is helpful if you want to see the specific information of the specific Jira ticket status etc.

Log in to Salesforce.

Open the Global Search Jira from the App launcher.

To view the Jira issue details click on the Jira issue key hyperlink.

Search Jira via Related List
In this search option, you can search for Jira issues directly within the related list. Additionally, you can set up a button on the case record. Please refer to the screenshots provided below for visual guidance.

Follow the below steps to Search the Jira issue from the related list.

On the case detail page of your Salesforce instance, go to the case record for which you want to search for a Jira ticket. Click the Search Jira button on the Related Jira tab.

Using Search Jira

Choose the Jira instance you want to search: On the search Jira screen, you can switch between the Jira instances (In case your Salesforce is linked with multiple Jira instances). Under the Project Issue Type categories, you have the option to search from ‘All’ the projects or from specific mapped projects.
Note :
To enable the ‘All’ option on the Search Jira screen, you need to enable ‘AllJiraProjectsSearchsetting’ under the ‘SalesforcedetailPage’ Custom setting.

Ways to Search for Jira Issues
Basic Search Options

Exact Key Search: If you know the specific key of a Jira issue (e.g., JPR-62), you can enter this key directly into the search bar. This will bring up the exact issue associated with that key.

Text Search: You can search for Jira issues using keywords or phrases that might be contained within the issue's summary, and description in the search bar to find matching issues.
Advanced Search Options

Accessing Advanced Search: Click on the 'More' button located near the search bar to access additional filtering options. For example, Filtering the results by Reporter. To filter issues based on the person who reported them see the steps below.

Click on the 'More' button.

Select 'Reporter' from the list of available fields.

Choose the specific reporter's name as per your business requirements. This will filter the issues to show only those reported by the selected individual.

Additional Filtering Options: You can filter the results by clicking on the More options.

Assignee: Filter issues based on the person assigned to them.

Status: Filter issues by their current status (e.g., Open, In Progress, Closed).

Priority: Filter issues based on their priority level (e.g., High, Medium, Low).

Labels: Filter issues by specific labels assigned to them.

Customizing Your Search View

To customize which fields are displayed in your search results, Click on the gear icon (⚙️) located at the top-right corner of the search results page.

From the dropdown menu, select 'Columns'.

Here, you can add or remove fields to tailor the search results view to your needs. If you frequently use a particular search filter, you can save it for easy access in the future.
